Anne: Black and White

I love Black and white pictures, especially when the dominant color is black. They are sharp and classy. I think these pictures are fabulous! Once again....BEAUTIFUL is her name. Thanks Anne!

For Anne...

Here's to one of my favorite families in Oxford, and one of the most beautiful Seniors around! Seriously Anne, I hope my daughters grow up holding the grace, confidence, goodness and beauty that you have. It certainly was a pleasure taking your Senior pictures. Thanks for asking me. Here's a peek....I hope you love them!

I love being a mom. It doesn't hurt when I have kids that I think are simply gems. Here's my Kenadee. I love how confident she is in front of the camera. We definately have a good time.

My little man....

is almost 6! I wanted to get some pictures before he loses his baby teeth. As you can see, we catch all moods when taking pictures of little people. The only thing that kept us going...the dollar store goodies. I love dollar stores.

This is what happens when you stay at my house...

My cutie pie nieces and nephew stayed with us for a couple of days, and miraculously, I talked Sophie into letting me take her picture. So...we curled her hair, ironed her dress, cleaned off the make-up that she had already applied to her face, AND most importantly, kept her in a good mood. She played with the Barbies, pollies, etc., and was happy. When I was ready, she easily came down, and even seemed a bit excited. I knew that couldn't last, and I was correct. Five to ten minutes later, she was loosing steam and fifteen minutes later, she was DONE! And Sophie means what she says. Regardless, this dazzler came out shining again.

Well, it took a little negotiating to get Lauren to let me take her picture. The price: 3 Girl Scout cookies. And although I LOVE Girl Scout cookies, I think I got the better end of the deal. Here's my little Lauren.

Beautiful girls

Last month I made a trip out to Utah to visit my parents and cousin photographer. My gosh was it COLD! Here are some pictures of some gorgeous sisters. I must say that I wanted to take little Miss C home with me. She was so adorable, with the sweetest personality. Her big sister reminded me that my oldest is just a few years away from high school, more make-up, cool clothes, boys....more get the picture. Just look at Miss A's eyes. She will have boys serenading!

What a great week. Family and photography.

For the Tait's

Today, Shawn and I met the Tait's at Rowan Oak (the historic Faulkner home here in Oxford). The morning was a little chilly, but ok. However, I warmed up pretty quick seeing this group with 9 little ones 5 and under! I can't believe I was a young mom...not sure I could do it again! The family was great, and Shawn was glad he is the assistant now...WHEW! Here is a peek...

Practice makes perfect....I hope anyway

Yes, this is my Sidney again! Really, I would love to be posting pictures other than my own kids, but until things pick up I will still be practicing. And as it is, I will take them however they will come, I mean dragged, especially when the sun goes down so darn fast. Notice Sidney's lovely mix of clothing, and no shoes (which you can't see). I thought they turned out cute anyway.
